Hurricane Helene wiped out rivers, streams, creeks, and brook-trout trickles, and washed the livelihoods of fishing guides downriver with stunning force. The Blue Ridge Guide Association has set up a dedicated, focused fund for relief monies to be delivered directly to local guides, lodges, and outfitters for immediate and pressing needs and lost income. 100 percent of the funds will be dispersed. Attention lodges, guides, flyshops and outfitters affected by hurricane Helene. The Blue Ridge Guide Association is now accepting applications for funding for those in need. The application deadline will be December 31st. Funds are expected to be dispersed by mid January of 2025.
