Conservation & preservation

The Blue Ridge Guide Association was built out of necessity to help manage a pair of local tailwaters, the South Holston & Watauga Rivers. Concerns over water flows, fish counts, development, and pressure pushed a growing local guide population to nominate a board of directors to develop a plan for the future.

It was decided that a non-profit organization be formed. That non-profit organization became the Blue Ridge Guide Association. With this organization we can begin connecting the local guides, individuals, and businesses who feel it’s important to have a unified voice to protect our resources.

All of our initiatives will be voted on and be determined by a majority vote from the current members of the Blue Ridge Guide Association. The board will then determine the best course of action to solve the issue. Please join now and help protect our resources.
